These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TrackSensei at tracksensei.com. TrackSensei is a sole proprietorship run by Stephan Kiekens, trading as TrackSensei, registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 71997067, Loopakker 1, 4824 SB Breda, the Netherlands ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.
TrackSensei is an AI-powered music production analysis tool. For each analysis you select an audio file of your track, which is analyzed entirely in your browser and never uploaded. You can optionally add the Ableton Live project file (.als) of the same track; it is also parsed in your browser and gives the most detailed feedback. You then receive an automated analysis report with scores and AI-generated feedback on your production. The service is intended as a learning and feedback tool, not as a substitute for professional audio engineering.
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
TrackSensei offers four plans:
Current prices, limits and what each plan includes are shown on our pricing page. We may adjust pricing with 30 days' advance notice to active subscribers.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Pro and Ultimate subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly depending on the billing period you choose at checkout, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then.
An upgrade from Pro to Ultimate takes effect immediately and is charged pro rata for the rest of the current billing period. A downgrade from Ultimate to Pro takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Switching between monthly and yearly billing on an active subscription is not available in the app; contact us and we will arrange it.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, also not for the remainder of a yearly subscription after cancellation. If you were charged in error, or a technical issue on our side prevents you from using the service, contact us at hello@tracksensei.com and we will review it case by case.
Prices include VAT where it applies. Stripe calculates the VAT share based on the billing details you enter at checkout, and it is shown on your invoice. If you buy as a business, you can add your VAT number at checkout.
Prices are displayed and charged in the visitor's local currency where supported. Today this includes the Euro (EUR) for the eurozone and the British Pound (GBP) for the United Kingdom; additional currencies will be added as the service expands. Visitors located outside a supported region see prices in EUR, and Stripe converts the EUR amount to their local currency at checkout using the prevailing mid-market exchange rate plus any conversion fees applied by their bank or card issuer. The currency shown on the Stripe Checkout page is the currency the customer's card will be charged in.
A Release Check is a one-time payment that unlocks the full report for one analyzed track. It is not a subscription and does not renew. A Release Check covers:
A Release Check can only be bought on a Free account. Pro and Ultimate already include everything a Release Check unlocks.
Right of withdrawal (Article 16(m) Consumer Rights Directive). A Release Check is digital content that is delivered immediately after payment. Above the Pay button, the Stripe Checkout page states that the track is unlocked instantly and that you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal. By clicking Pay you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal under Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, as transposed into your national law.
Refunds. We refund a Release Check only if something went wrong on our side, for example when a technical fault prevents the unlock or the report from working. Email hello@tracksensei.com with your payment reference.
Boosters are one-time purchases of additional AI tokens, available exclusively to Ultimate subscribers. Three sizes are offered: Booster S (250,000 tokens), Booster M (500,000 tokens), and Booster L (1,000,000 tokens). The exact prices in your currency are displayed at checkout (for reference: EUR pricing is €15 / €30 / €60; GBP pricing is £13 / £26 / £49). Prices include VAT where it applies.
Booster tokens do not expire and are consumed only after your monthly Ultimate budget is exhausted, ensuring you always burn the lower-cost subscription rate first.
Right of withdrawal (Article 16(m) Consumer Rights Directive). Booster tokens are digital content delivered immediately upon successful payment. The Boosters page and the Stripe Checkout page (directly above the Pay button) state that the tokens are delivered instantly and that you waive your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. By clicking Pay you confirm that:
Discretionary refund window. Outside the statutory framework, we will consider refund requests submitted within 14 days of purchase only if you can demonstrate that no Booster tokens have been consumed since purchase (i.e. your token balance is unchanged). Contact hello@tracksensei.com with the relevant payment reference. A granted refund will reverse the token credit (clamped at zero, so your balance never goes negative).
Booster purchases are not available to Free or Pro subscribers; the option appears only when your account holds an active Ultimate subscription (or a promotional Ultimate tier).
You retain full ownership of all audio files, project files, and other content you submit to TrackSensei. We do not claim any rights to your music or productions.
Audio files are analyzed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers, and we therefore never possess a copy of your audio. Only the numerical analysis metrics computed in your browser and the file name are transmitted to us.
Reference track feature data. When you add a reference track, either as a one-off reference for an analysis or as part of a reference set, you grant TrackSensei a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to derive and store numerical feature data from that track (LUFS, frequency balance, stereo metrics, kick design descriptors, and similar technical descriptors as detailed in our Privacy Policy) for the purpose of improving the calibration of the analysis tool. Together with the features we store a one-way hash of the file and its name, size and type, as described in our Privacy Policy. This license expressly excludes the audio file itself, embedded audio metadata (artist, title, artwork) and any content from which the original recording could be reconstructed, none of which we receive or store. You may revoke this license at any time by deleting your account or by emailing privacy@tracksensei.com; aggregated calibration targets derived prior to revocation remain in effect. When you delete your account, the link between you and the stored feature data and the file names are removed immediately; a request by email is handled within one month. See Section 7 of our Privacy Policy for retention details.
Reference sets. You may also save named collections of reference tracks to your profile ("reference sets") and choose to score your own uploads against your set instead of the generic genre baseline. Each track you add to a set is analyzed in your browser exactly like your own uploads: the audio file never leaves your device, and only the resulting numerical feature data (containing no audio content and no embedded metadata) plus the display name you choose are stored in your set. By adding a track to a reference set, you confirm that you have the right to do so for personal analytic purposes (own production, licensed material, or fair-use reference comparison under your local law). You retain all copyright in the underlying recording.
Ableton project files (.als) are parsed in your browser and are not uploaded. Only a structural summary (tracks, devices and plugins, MIDI and arrangement structure) is sent to us. By adding a .als file, you grant us a limited license to use that summary for the purpose of delivering the analysis service; it is stored as part of your analysis.
Retention. Analyses in a project are kept while you keep working on the project. After 120 days without a new version, the full reports, scores and chat messages of that project are deleted, while the project keeps its version list and a short summary per version; after 365 days without a new version the project is scheduled for deletion and deleted seven days later. Analyses outside a project are deleted 365 days after they were created. A report unlocked with a Release Check stays readable for one year after purchase. Section 7 of our Privacy Policy describes these periods in full.
Reference tracks and reference sets. You may upload third-party copyrighted material solely as a reference for comparison against your own work, both as a one-off reference track and as part of a saved reference set on your profile. In both cases the audio is analyzed in your browser and the audio file itself is never transmitted to our servers, redistributed, or used to train any model. The resulting numerical feature vector is sent to our server: it is added to our calibration data set (Section 5), and for reference sets it is also stored privately under your account until you delete it. Because that data contains no audio content, it does not reproduce the original recording in any form. You remain responsible for ensuring your reference use complies with local fair-use, study, or research exceptions.

The production feedback provided by TrackSensei is generated by AI (Anthropic Claude). While we strive for accuracy and usefulness, AI-generated content may contain errors, subjective opinions, or suggestions that don't apply to your specific artistic intent. The feedback is meant as guidance, not authoritative instruction. Use your own creative judgment.
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms to the extent such failure or delay is caused by events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, wars, terrorism, pandemics, government actions, cyber-attacks, strikes, or infrastructure failures. During force majeure events, we will make reasonable efforts to resume service promptly. If a force majeure event prevents service for more than 30 consecutive days, either party may terminate these Terms upon written notice.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime except where such downtime is not caused by force majeure and exceeds the liability limitations in Section 10.
TrackSensei is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in the Netherlands.
