How to Turn an 8 Bar Loop Into a Finished House Track

You have an 8 bar loop that bangs. The kick knocks, the bassline rolls, the chords sit right, and you have listened to it on repeat for forty minutes without getting bored. Then you zoom out, and the timeline past bar 8 is empty. It has been empty for three weeks. Small moves carry house: one change every 8 bars minimum

Vary the loop itself every 16 bars
